What a great sight in the sky! Over the last few weeks Jupiter, Venus, and the Old Man in Moon put on quite a display. It was one of those occasions where the cluster of objects got closer and closer together. Thankfully we still have enough dark sky here at the coast to make it stand out.
Welcome aboard! We want to share the rich maritime heritage of this region with our passengers. I have spent time on Chesapeake Bay, Cape Lookout, Roanoke Island, the Cape Fear River and Southport. For a number of years I worked with NC State Historic Sites and was particulary interested in 18th century maritime history. It has been my good fortune to work on several masted ships. Come see us onboard SOLOMON T.
